Barred Rock Group was founded in 2011 and is based in Dallas, TX. Our core value is to provide a new level of world-class service in the demolition, excavation and construction industries. Safety, strategic planning, crisp execution and late-model equipment ensures our customers’ complete satisfaction and the highest quality of work. Barred Rock Group was brought into new ownership in 2021.

Our Founder

Mark Payne, founder of Barred Rock Group, is a Dallas, TX native. He has an undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree (MBA) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Mark Payne came up with the name Barred Rock Group in quite an interesting way. Mark and his wife love to raise unique chickens. One of those chickens stood out from the rest. This chicken was confident, fearless, and unyielding. Mark told his wife “That’s what I need for my company. A company that is confident, fearless and unyielding”. As it turns out, this bird was a barred rock chicken. Thus, Marks' demolition company was named Barred Rock Group.
